Auto parts maker, Shanghai Baolong Automotive Corporation, and German automotive locking system supplier, Huf Hülsbeck & Fürst GmbH launched a joint venture (JV), BH Sens in China, Europe and the US. The jv, which was founded in January, will be the supplier of original equipped (OE) and independent after-market (IAM) tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) solutions, aiming to meet the growing demand for TPMS for commercial vehicle, off–the-road and passenger vehicles.
Axel Hummel, Managing Director of Huf Baolong Electronics Bretten Gmbh said that the merging of the two companies for TPMS will increase customer perception and profitability of the product in the market.
BH Sens group are comprised of three corporations, namely, Huf Baolong Electronics North America Corp, a US subsidiary; Huf Baolong Electronics Bretten GmbH (Huf Baolong) based in Germany; and Baolong Huf Shanghai Electronics Co, Ltd (Baolong Huf) headquartered in China.
To increase production, BH Sens is already planning for a TPMS production facility in Mexico by 2020.
