Arlanxeo holds first virtual “Technical Marathon” for synthetic rubbers

Innovative synthetic rubber manufacturing company Arlanxeo has just held its first all-day online “Global Technical Marathon,” featuring 24 company professionals who gave world-class technical presentations hour-on-hour to a vibrant international audience. Their subject centered on the latest changes impacting the synthetic rubber industry and – more importantly – how Arlanxeo would navigate current and future uncertainties.

Topics at the 24-hour online Technical Marathon included the use of butyl rubber (BR) in medical applications, ethylene propylene diene (EPDM) rubber crosslinking chemistry, and a study of materials technology in passenger car tyres, among others.

The event was said to be a prime opportunity to showcase “the best practices and solutions” for Arlanxeo employees and customers: “The interactive virtual space is a great way to address a wide range of customers’ concerns and future needs, demonstrating Arlanxeo’s commitment in responding to our customers’ expectations at all times,” said Li Birnie, Arlanxeo’s Global Head of Corporate Communications.

Also commenting on the successful presentations was Arlanxeo Executive VP, Christian Widdershoven, who said the technical marathon provided a broad variety of topics as well as different applications of all Arlanxeo rubbers – customers need know that Arlanxeo is “there for them in this unprecedented time, through thick and thin.”
