Alliance Rubber receives Top American Manufacturer award

Alliance rubber cited with 2012 Excellence In Innovation Award in May ALLIANCE Rubber Company, a global supplier of rubber bands, office and packaging supplies, has been cited with a Top American Manufacturer award in the Office Supplies category by Made in the USA Foundation and Made Movement.

Made in the USA Foundation and Made Movement recently honoured the outstanding achievements of the top companies that manufacture and/or assemble products in the US at its annual Hall of Fame Awards Dinner.

“We host this awards dinner yearly to recognise and build awareness of the creativity, skill and talent of the best American manufacturers. These companies make a choice to grow their business in the US, which keeps many Americans employed and is what will help revive our economy,” said Made in the USA Foundation Co-founder Joel D. Joseph.

“Alliance’s commitment to growing the US economy through manufacturing, as well as accurate Made in the USA labeling, fits well with those values promoted by Made in the USA Foundation,” said Bonnie Swayze, President of Alliance Rubber.

Among the 68 nominees, 27 winners were selected. The winning companies were selected based on three criteria: quality, competiveness and impact. In addition to Alliance, other winners included Maker’s Mark, Woodford Reserve, Tesla S, Ford C-Max, Precor, Wahl, Makita, Snap-on Tools, Corning, American Leather, Merle Norman, Hudson Jeans, American Apparel, Chevrolet Silverado and Ram trucks.

Alliance Rubber/s “Make It In America Pledge” encourages individuals to make an effort to spend more on American-made products. The company encourages consumers to take the pledge to spend US$1 per day on USA-made goods at its website, http://www.rubberband.com, with the goal of creating 1 million additional US jobs. Earlier this year, the company received the Made in USA Certified Product Innovation of the Year Award for exhibiting excellence in United States manufacturing best practices and standards and contributing to job creation in the US and accurate labelling.
