THE International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) has announced details of the upcoming World Rubber Summit 2013 . Speakers from leading firms like Apollo, Bridgestone, HSBC, Olam, Pirelli and Versalis will be headlining in the event.
Key experts from the global rubber industry will be sharing insights at the World Rubber Summit 2013 conference held at the Raffles City Convention Centre from, 21 – 23 May 2013.
Addressing concerns on the economic outlook and sustainability of the tyre and rubber industry will be Neeraj Kanwar, Managing Director of Apollo Tyres; and Tatsuro Hamada, Vice President Tyre Research & Material Development of the Bridgestone Group; and Jean-Francois Lambert, Managing Director and Global Head of Commodity & Structured Trade Finance of HSBC.
Danielle Ferrari, CEO of Versalis; Bill Hyde, Senior Director Olefins & Elastomers and IHS; and Rafael Cayuela, Commercial Director of Styron will be tackling forecasts on challenges and opportunities in the synthetic rubber segment
Commodity markets perspectives will be shared by Sunny Vergese, Group Managing Director and CEO of Olam International.
Meanwhile, other speakers will cover the future direction of the vehicles industry; the impact of tyre labelling on the global tyre industry; alternative plant and bio-sources of rubber; potential for growth of natural rubber in Africa; and focus on consumption of rubber in China.
IRSG will also present its new project involving leading stakeholders from all parts of the rubber value chain, as well as provide the platform for presentations from active government and industry players.
The main goal of the conference is to provide rubber decision makers, being C-level executives as well as related business leaders, with the knowledge and the connections they need in order to make valid business decisions in terms of the growth and sustainability of the rubber industry over the coming years.
