CAMBODIA welcomes the Vietnam Rubber Group’s (VRG) initiative for implementing rubber projects in the country.
The group is set to plant 100,000 hectares of rubber trees in the country by 2014.
At a reception for VRG General Director Tran Ngoc Thuan in Phnom Penh on April 3, the Vice President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, Nguon Nhel, commended VRG’s investment in Cambodia for contributing to the development of its economy and society, which he said will improve the lives of the locals
Residents at the Kampong Thong province will be benefiting from the VRG’s social welfare policies, including financial assistance for the construction of two pagodas and local jobs that will be created.
