China has started imposing anti-dumping measures on resorcinol (M-dihydroxybenzene) coming from Japan and the US, such as requiring companies to pay “deposits” for their imports, said the Ministry of Commerce.
China have required resorcinol importers from the said countries to pay the duties ranging from 30.1% to 40.5% , basing on the imports value..
The anti-dumping measures have been recently implemented following the Ministry’s discovery of resorcinol dumping last March, which it said could hurt the local resorcinol industry. (RJA)
