Japan’s Toyo Tire is expanding its tyre plant in Indija (Serbia) with an innovation centre for R&D and has awarded HF Group as a partner to contribute engineering services and mixing technology to the centre.
The new innovation centre will span 6.000 sq m and underlines Toyo’s dedication to drive innovation in compound development to its next level.
Toyo Tire started to work out first conceptual ideas for layouts together with HF back in 2024, in a common pre-engineering, which were HF’s early stage system engineering services.
HF will be responsible for engineering, supplying and installing the complete R&D production line. The latest technology will offer all possibilities to mix advanced compound formulation for high performance and energy efficient tyres, it adds.
The launch of the innovation centre is planned for 2027.
