Thailand’s Sri Trang recently signed a MoU with the country’s National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to foster what it says will be collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing research, technology, and innovation in the rubber industry.
The signing ceremony was honoured by the presence of Chaiyos Sincharoenkul, Executive Director of Sri Trang Agro-Industry PCL, along with distinguished experts from NRCT, who served as witnesses.
The partnership aims to integrate resources and expertise to drive progress in key areas such as product development, resource management, and environmental conservation.
Notable initiatives include the development of knowledge for managing sludge waste from concentrated latex production, innovation in latex coagulation processes to reduce sulfuric acid usage, as well as training programs to upskill personnel and provide technical consultation on rubber-related technologies.
This collaboration is expected to significantly enhance production efficiency, strengthen the competitiveness of Thailand’s rubber industry across all dimensions, and support its long-term growth in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner, the firm added.
