The plant, set to employ 1,000 workers across 32 ha in Svay Rieng province’s Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, will be developed in two phases.

The project will be Cambodia’s sixth tyre manufacturing facility and the second within the Sihanoukville zone, highlighting the country’s push to diversify its manufacturing base.

According to government data, Cambodia’s special economic zones have attracted US$11.7 billion in investments across 835 projects, creating more than 195,000 jobs. Svay Rieng province alone hosts 12 such zones with 280 projects valued at approximately US$3 billion.
