Pirelli unveils first FSC-certified bike tyres

Italian tyremaker Pirelli has introduced the P Zero Race TLR RS, the cycling industry’s first tyre featuring FSC-certified natural rubber, sourced responsibly to preserve biodiversity and support local communities. Manufactured at Pirelli’s updated Milan-Bollate plant, this tubeless-ready tyre represents a step towards sustainable cycling solutions, with an advanced system to ensure separation of FSC materials across the supply chain.

Tailored for competitive racing, the P Zero Race TLR RS boasts superior grip in all weather, enhanced braking and handling, and low rolling resistance. It is designed with a lighter, refined tread, achieving 8% weight reduction and 16% lower rolling resistance.

This latest launch follows Pirelli’s use of FSC-certified rubber in the P Zero tyre for BMW and Formula 1, advancing the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation in both automotive and cycling sectors.  Pirelli is one of the founding members of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber – GPSNR, a multi-stakeholder platform established in 2018 to support the sustainable development of the natural rubber business globally, to benefit the entire value chain.
