Scandinavian Enviro Systems, a company developing, building and operating industrial plants for material recovery from End of Life Tyres (ELT), has received an order from Michelin for engineering services and technical documentation estimated at SEK 4 million (EUR 400,000).
The order includes engineering services, as well as documentation of Enviro’s patented technology for material recovery of ELTs. This forms a basis for the negotiations on a strategic partnership between the two companies.
In April 2020, Michelin and Enviro embarked on a partnership to develop and industrialise on a large scale an innovative pyrolysis technology to recycle ELTs. In December last year, Enviro said that both companies had agreed on the key principles for establishing a first, jointly owned, recovery plant as well as a license agreement, which regulates the terms for the usage of Enviro’s material recovery technology and the fee for this usage.
