Tyre manufacturing company Yokohama India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., is resuming operations at its US$39.7 million Bahadurgarh plant in Haryana, northern India. The plant will resume production based on government directives and guidelines issued due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production will be started up in phases while several standard operating procedures and security measures have been implemented to facilitate smooth functioning and progress in the production lines.
Yokohama India established its first manufacturing plant in November 2014 – the company provides original equipment to many top auto manufacturers based in India and is part of the global replacement tyre business.
Several Yokohama Club Network (YCN) stores in India have also been reopened in states where the restriction by the government has been lifted. YCN is a specialised network based on Yokohama’s global philosophy to provide “world-class tyre purchasing experience” to its customers. Yokohama India currently has more than 750 point of sales which also includes 38 YCN stores across India.
