Camso, a US manufacturer and distributor of off-road tyres, wheels, rubber tracks and undercarriage systems to serve the material handling, construction, agricultural and powersports industries has recently inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Peosta, Iowa.
During the opening, guests toured the plant, which houses a state-of-the-art 240,000- sq ft building, to witness first-hand the assembly process of track systems and meet the people behind some of the industry’s best undercarriage products, according to the company’s press statement.
The new assembly facility has been in operation since October 2017. All existing machinery and operations were moved from the company’s previous Peosta location within four months with no impact on product delivery to customers. By moving all operations to a larger building across the street, Camso was able to grow its Peosta manufacturing and storage footprint by 85%, allowing the company to increase its production capacity. “To meet the growing demand for track systems and sustain the anticipated growth of the upcoming years, relocation was necessary,” explained Patrick Fortin, Plant Director of Peosta.
Camso, also operates advanced R&D centres and manufacturing plants in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Camso supplies its products to leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) under the names Camso and Solideal and distributes its products in the replacement market through its global distribution network.
