RM46.45 million of dividends announced for 9,359 participants of Risda

Malaysia’s Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced dividends totalling RM46.45 million for 9,359 participants of the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) in Pahang.

He said of the total, RM38.44 million was for Commercial Replanting Programme (TSK) participants involving 6,493 smallholders, while RM8 million was for 2,866 participants of the New Group Rubber Planting Programme (RTTB).

According to Ismail Sabri, the disbursement was part of Risda’s total dividend amount of RM112.33 million announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Temerloh, on April 2.

“Risda Plantation Sdn Bhd (RPSB) also manages 139 TSK projects in Pahang, with 125 oil palm plantations and 14 rubber plantations on 15,844.59 hectares of land.

“For Bera, RPSB manages four TSK plantations, namely the Sungai Tuang Orang Asli Farm, Kampung Bongkok Orang Asli Farm, (TSK) Bukit Rok, and TSK Bukit Penak, with a total area of ??568.22 hectares involving 248 participants,” he said.
