After two years of fine preparations and a year of trial operation of ISO17025 system, rubber company Arlanxeo’s Rubber Technology Centre (RTC) passed the expert evaluation of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) in November 2017, and obtained Laboratory Accreditation Certificate issued by CNAS in January 2018 (Registration No. CNAS L10612). With advanced laboratory testing capabilities, Arlanxeo says it will serve its customers better in the future.
Arlanxeo RTC was inaugurated at the EPDM site in Changzhou in 2016. It integrates rubber mixing, testing and analysis capabilities of Arlanxeo and currently is said to be one of the most advanced rubber test centres. By establishing the RTC, Arlanxeo aims to strengthen its cooperation with local partners, and meet the market demands in China and APAC with advanced technical capabilities.
With the CNAS accreditation, Arlanxeo says it will further improve the quality of customer service, and increase the added value of its products, thus maintaining the advantage of its products in the increasingly competitive market. RTC can use the CNAS mark within the scope of the accredited testing capacity to provide customers with more authoritative and credible experimental data. This will help customers meet the audit requirements and save their time and costs greatly by avoiding repeated 3rd party testing. At present, CNAS has signed the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), which means that test reports issued by the RTC will also be internationally recognized, thus giving support to customers in expanding international market.
The CNAS accreditation represents the verification of the laboratory management level and testing capacity of the RTC.
“It’s an honour for our RTC to obtain the accreditation of CNAS, which is a great encouragement for us. Our RTC will be committed to providing high quality technical services for customers, and become a reliable holistic service and solution provider,” said Dr. Mao Jie, Head of the Rubber Technology Centre, Arlanxeo.
In the future, the RTC will keep to the quality policy of “scientific & authoritative, efficient & accurate testing and continuous improvement”, and continue to raise the laboratory management level, improve the testing quality and better meet the growing business needs of the company.
