Cooper Standard recently opened its new headquarters and technical centre in Pune, Maharashtra in India to better serve its growing customer base in the Asia Pacific region. The 6,000-sq ft facility, which was relocated from its previous location in Sahibabad, employs approximately 40 people, and designs rubber and plastic sealing components as well as fuel and brake delivery products.
“Today’s opening of our new India headquarters in Pune is another milestone in Cooper Standard’s profitable growth strategy,” said Jeffrey Edwards, CEO and chairman, Cooper Standard. “India is a key region in the automotive market, and this new facility enables us to better serve both our global customers in the region, as well as customers in the rapidly growing local market.”
Cooper Standard, including its joint venture partners, now operates 32 facilities in the Asia Pacific region, including 11 in India, 13 in China, five in Korea, two in Japan and one in Thailand.
