Astra Resources’s renewable energy technology, Green Gum is already in its final stage of completion. The production infrastructure in Hungry will recycle waste rubber into high value products. The machinery will be able to produce various grades of rubber granules in sizes from 600 microns to 150 microns. Once the machinery is complete, the facility will be able to produce over 15,000 tonnes per year.
According to the company production testing has been in progress since early March and over 200 kg of rubber granules have been produced in order to test their consistency and cleanliness. The first full scale commercial production run is scheduled for the end of April and early May. Astra Resources owns a 76% stake in Green Gum Technologies. (PRA)
