Stakeholders of the Indian rubber industry will convene on March 4 to 5 this year for the India Rubber Meet 2015. The event which is to be held at Le Meridien, Convention Centre, in Kochi, India will see stakeholders such as rubber farmers, natural rubber processors, governmental bodies come together to update their technical knowledge as well as network with each other.
“With globalization, the commercial boundaries of nations have waned and world trade has evolved into a single market. Competitiveness both in cost and quality has emerged as passwords to prosperity. Technical knowledge attained strategic superiority as it is the key to both cost and quality. That together with development of linkages through networking is essential for excellence in business,” the website states.
The event will see a line-up of speakers who cut across various expertise in the rubber industry, for example: Dr. John Baffes (Senior Economist, Development Prospects Group, World Bank, Washington, DC, USA), Dr. Stephen V Evans (Secretary General, International Rubber Study Group, Singapore) and Ms. Sheela Thomas, I.A.S (Secretary General, Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries).
