Sprintan 918S multifunctionalised S-SBR achieves an optimum balance of low rolling resistance, high grip, and a good mechanical property profile.
According to Trinseo, the new oil extended grade, Sprintan 918S was developed to address the increasing challenges, such as physical stability, safety, high fuel efficiency at the same time with easy processability for the tread of ultra high performance (UHP) tyres, which has witnessed an increasing demand triggered by the growth of SUVs and light trucks market. Sprintan918S is an easy-to-process, multifunctionalised S-SBR grade that, in terms of processing, is comparable with the best-in-class benchmark, a non-functionalized polymer. It also substantially improves fuel efficiency and has excellent mechanical properties while sustaining good wet grip.
