Toyo Tires participates in US National Tire Safety Week

Toyo-TiresThe National Tire Safety Week in the US, running May 28 to June 3, 2017, is designed educate motorists and spread awareness on the importance of tyre safety and proper maintenance. It is presented by the US Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) and supported by industry partners such as Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp., the US subsidiary of Japanese tyre manufacturer Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd.

The simple addition of routine tyre maintenance, such as checking tyre pressures on a regular basis, to a motorist’s lifestyle can help save fuel costs while helping keep your vehicle safe on the road.  During National Tire Safety Week, several Toyo Tires dealers offer free safety checks, including checking tyre pressures and inspecting your tires for wear.

For those who want to do the safety checks on their own, they can easily locate their vehicle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures on the tyre placard.  This can be found on the door and door jamb, glove box, trunk lid or fuel door.

Toyo Tires also provides a convenient Tire Finder which allows motorists to search their vehicle’s recommended tyre inflation pressures.  For custom vehicles with plus fitments, they can also locate the plus size on their vehicle and the recommended inflation pressures for that size.

Handy and informative tyre maintenance videos are available in the Tires 101 section of the company’s website.  These highly informative videos address four essential topics:  How to Check Your Tyre Pressure, How to Check Tyre Tread Depth, How to Inspect Tyre Wear, and How to Read Your Tyre Sidewall.

And new from Toyo Tires in 2017, owners of late model, high capacity pickups now have a safe alternative for customising their trucks.  F Load Range products are now available in Toyo’s most popular Open Country light truck tyres.  This new category addresses the increase in payload and towing capacity of today’s trucks, giving owners the freedom to personalise the look and style of their vehicles with a tyre that is properly load rated.

“Toyo Tires recognises the importance of properly maintaining a vehicle’s tyres and suggests adding regular inspection intervals to your lifestyle,” said Amy Coleman, senior director of marketing, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.  “This is especially important before taking your vacation, or when there are sudden changes in temperature.”
