Japanese automotive parts manufacturer Toyoda Gosei (TG) will establish a satellite engineering and sales unit by July 2019 in Ohio, US, to oversee its Toyoda Gosei North America (TGNA) operations.
Originally based in Troy, Michigan, select TGNA designs and sales functions from the head office will be relocated to the new office,which is intended to accelerate its interior products and airbags development, incidentally near TG’s major client, Honda R&D Americas.
The TG Group began in 1949 in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture and currently supplies high-quality rubber and plastic products internationally. The TGNA regional office in Troy had a capital of about US$265 million and over 340 employees as of March 2019 –TG’s initial five employees in Ohio is expected to double by the early 2020s in response to rapid development and production in the US automakers market.
