Namazie International, Chi Mei Corporate join IRSG as associate members

Chi-Mei-CorporateThe International Rubber Study Group (IRSG), an organisation that unites the world’s rubber producing and consuming stakeholders, welcomed two new associate members this month – Singapore-based Namazie International and Taiwan’s Chi Mei Corporation (CMC).

Namazie International is a global commodities trader and supply chain manager specialising in natural rubber and latex. It is one of the oldest and most established rubber traders in Singapore.

Founded in 1955 they have more than 60 years of experience in natural rubber with long-standing relationships with plantation owners and rubber processors in major originating countries such Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Africa.

They export to markets all over the world including China, India, Japan, Korea, Europe, North and South America and Middle East. Their customers include many of the world’s major tyre companies as well as the leading non-tyre consumers of natural rubber.

Namazie also has warehouses in Europe and other parts of the world to stock and distribute its NR to many of its smaller customers. They add value as a one-stop sourcing, shipping, logistics, financing, risk management and technical solution provider.

Since 2013, Namazie has moved its activities upstream and its sister company, PT Nusa Alam Rubber, based in Indonesia, is now an established processor and exporter of Standard Indonesian Rubber (SIR20).

On the other hand, Chi Mei was Taiwan’s first producer of acrylic panel and ABS resins.  With more than 50 years of production and R&D experience in this field, Chi Mei offers a stable supply of plastic and synthetic rubber products and has also branched into the higher value area of key materials for the optoelectronic industry.

Chi Mei possesses ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 with a keen interest towards environmental protection, emphasizing environmental sustainability and striving to minimise the impact of manufacturing activities on the environment.
