Kaiping High-Performance Rubbers and Second Co. Ltd held the opening ceremony of its new facility in Guangdong Kaiping Green Lake New District. The plant, worth US$50 million, covers an area of 497,763 square metres and will be producing 600 tonnes of tyre cord weaving.
Equipped with imported post-spinning equipment, the new plant will produce polyester industrial filament, dipping canvas and tyre cord fabric. The estimated annual production value of the new plant is US$198 million. According to the company, they have plans to further expand capacity in early 2013. (PRA)
