JK Tyre opens first retread centre in Nepal

India’s JK Tyre & Industries (JK Tyre) has inaugurated its first retread centre in Pokhara, Nepal. The strategically-located retread centre is fitted with advanced technology/machinery and trained manpower to cater to the potentially demanding market of truck tyres and will provide quality retreading for bias and radial tyres. According to the company, the centre will offer highly-recommended repair and retread procedures to bring down the cost-per-kilometre for customers.

While the latest addition marks JK Tyre’s ambition to increase its network of retreading centres to 100,by 2020, and it further establishes the company’s international business presence.

The tyre manufacturer set up its first retread rubber manufacturing facility in Rajasthan, back in 2009, to provide original tread designs to fleet owners/end users. JK Tyre has since grown to facilitate various State Transport Corporations and Fleets across pre-cured rubber treads and allied material categories across the country.
