Felcra develops 6,500 hectares of idle land in Kelantan, Malaysia

November 27, 2017

FelcraFelcra Berhad has so far developed 6,500 hectares of idle land in Kelantan with the involvement of 2,000 settlers said Malaysia’s Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub.

He said this was relatively small as compared with the 260,000 hectares of idle land developed by some 117,000 settlers nationwide where most of the land is cleared for rubber, oil palm and paddy cultivation.

“There are still large areas of land left idle in Kelantan especially in the rural areas. They are not being utilised for the benefit of the people,” he said.

Ahmad Jazlan said it was important for the Kelantan government to work together with Felcra Berhad in the rehabilitation of idle land to enable successful agriculture projects.
