Avon Tyres has doubled the size fitments available in its acclaimed AV11 van tyre.
Available from Avon stockists now, the brand’s modern, high-speed van tyre has increased in fitment range from eight to 15 sizes.
The AV11 features better tyre footprint and profile, improving road handling and features Avon’s patented OptiNoise tread pattern, which reduces noise by 2dB, compared with its predecessors.
With new fitments in both 15- and 16-inch rims, the additional sizes are suitable for a much wider array of popular LCVs, including the Iveco Daily, Opel Vivaro, Volkswagen Transporter Window Van and the Peugeot Boxer.
Avon Tyres UK sales director, Jason Clarke, said, “The 3.7 million LCVs in the UK are often described as the backbone of British industry so it is important for them to stay on the road. Drivers need to be able to trust in a durable and economical tyre and that is what the AV11 delivers. The AV11 has been well received in the fleet market and I am pleased that, with our expanded range of sizes, we are now able to offer more drivers of more vans the same benefits as our existing customers.”
Designed in Avon’s European technical headquarters in Melksham, Wiltshire, specifically with European roads in mind, the AV11 has a 10 % longer lifespan than its predecessor in the range, saving drivers money when it comes to tyre replacement.
When it comes to handling, the AV11 offers further improvements, with the optimum footprint making for better and more intuitive characteristics, especially in wet weather.
Meanwhile, knowing the hard life many LCVs are required to go through, Avon has designed robust sidewalls to cope with potential damage from kerbing and the AV11 is available in a speed rating of up to 118mph.
The tyre is designed to meet all current and known future EU legislation to 2018.
