Apollo Tyres has come out with Apollo & Manchester United automotive tyres in Thailand. The country is the first in Asia, and only the second globally after the United Kingdom, to see the launch of the Manchester United-branded tyres.
Aimed at the huge following of Manchester United fans in Thailand, the tyres were launched by legends Andrew Cole and Ronny Johnsen at the club’s “United: Live in Bangkok” event held at Dhupatemiya Stadium. The tyre has been designed and developed by Apollo’s Global R&D for Passenger Vehicles in Enschede, The Netherlands.
Speaking at the launch of the tyre, Apollo’s Asean head Shubhro Ghosh said: “The Manchester United-branded tyres are part of the limited edition series from Apollo Tyres, which will be available in 2015. This launch showcases our commitment to Thai consumers by introducing new tyre choices for them to conquer the roads with, and for Thai fans of Manchester United football club.”
The tyres will be available at Apollo’s retail network partner outlets nationwide with prices starting at Bt2,200, depending on the size.
