ZEON Chemicals L.P. , a fully owned subsidiary of Zeon Corporation is increasing production capacity of its Kentucky-based HyTemp acrylic rubber plant, 1.5 times higher than the present level by July 2013.
The demand for acrylic rubber, an oil-resistant component for automotive seals and hoses, has increased along with the surge of production of new vehicles and long-life products. Likewise, demand for low fuel consumption and turbo-charged engines are seen to ramp up demand for heat and oil resistant rubbers.(RJA)
