YOKOHAMA Tire Corp. has launched two new additions to its Advan ultra-high-performance tyre line, namely, Advan Sport V105 and Advan Neova AD08 R.
The Advan V105, a “flagship” of Yokohama UHP offerings, has evolved from the eight-year-old V103 model that is factory-equipped on many performance cars, including those from Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche and Bentley.
The V105 is available in 13 sizes ranging from 205/55R16 91V to 255/30ZR20 92Y, and soon will also be offered in 55 sizes in 17- to 20-inch rim diameters.
The AD08 R will be available in 37 sizes, starting off with 10 sizes. The sizes will range from 15- to 19-inch rim diameters and will have fitments for a variety of sport coupes, as well as driving that requires extreme levels of grip and precision handling. The tyre is designed to improve performance in wet and dry conditions and lower lap times for driving enthusiasts.
Andrew Briggs, Director for Yokohama’s marketing and product planning said that both tyres utilise specialised compounds featuring Yokohama’s orange oil technology for enhanced traction and road surface adhesion.
The V105 carries a 240-AA-A UTQG rating, while the AD08 R is rated 180-AA-A.
