Wacker Polymers will raise its prices for Vinnapasvinyal acetate-ethylene and Vinnol ethylene-vinyl chloride-based copolymer dispersions and dispersible powders effective November 1st in the Americas. Alongside the increase, Wacker said a logistics surcharge of 0.02 cents per pound will be effective for all shipments starting the 1st of November. The firm said the surcharge is due to increased freight and distribution costs across the Americas region. Wacker Polymers produces binders and polymetric additives which are polyvinyl acetate and vinyl acetate copolymer based.
These take the form of dispersible polymer powders, dispersions, solid resins and solutions. Wacker’s business unit serves the construction chemicals, paints, surface coating, adhesives and nonwovens market. It runs production sites in Germany, China, South Korea and the United States of America and also has global sales networks and technology centers in all the major global regions. The firm states that the rise in price is due to raw material costs, specifically for vinyl acetate monomer. The changes in pricing will enable Wacker Polymers to provide customers with a wide range of innovative quality products and complete technical, sales and client support services.
