Tyrexpo Asia 2017 and GarageXpo Asia 2017, held from 21-23 March, at the Singapore Expo, ended on a high note with positive feedback from the thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors from numerous countries all over the world.
The three-day show, organised by Singex Exhibitions, saw 4,578 visitors and 248 exhibitors from 25 countries within the automotive community.
It introduced new events this year such as TyreTalk/GarageTalk Seminars, Tyrexpo/GarageXpo Technical Workshop, Commercial Vehicle Showcase, Telematics Zone, Qingdao Pavilion as well as the ITE Automotive Skills Competition.
Some of the highlights during the last day of the show included Newera Equipment showcasing the Japanese Fully Automatic Truck Tyre Changer Profoot TB-881RS, the first in Asia, at GarageXpo Asia 2017. Andy Loo, the company’s Business Development Manager, shared on the key features of the equipment.
Students also demonstrated their automotive knowledge and problem-solving capabilities by resolving “real world” challenges in the ITE Automotive Skills Competition.
The show also served as a platform for tyre manufacturers and suppliers to connect with potential clients in the market.
International contract tyre manufacturer Enjoy Tyre participated again in this year’s Tyrexpo Asia 2017 as part of the company’s ongoing promotional campaign that includes attending many shows every year on a global basis.
Taking centre stage on its stand (2R29) was a selection from its two highly successful private brands – Rotalla and Routeway – which attracted a lot of interest from visitors to the event, the company says.
Zhao Ye, Director at Enjoy, said that the primary objective at the show had been to meet new potential customers from countries where the company does not yet have an appointed distributor. He added, “As always we are constantly striving to explore new sales territories throughout the world and shows such as Tyrexpo Asia give us the perfect opportunity to achieve this objective. At the same time, we have had important meetings with some of our existing customers.”
Enjoy Tyre also introduced some new tyre sizes at the show in its Routeway TBR range plus a special Rotalla large SUV pattern for high performance cars as a direct result of requests from customers.
Singapore-based tyre supplier Global Tap also returned to this year’s Tyrexpo Asia show to develop and actively build on its trading status within its home market, having had a successful debut at the 2015 event.
Daniel Eng, Director of Global Tap, explained that although the company continues to develop on an international basis it is also determined to gain greater recognition in the Singapore market sector. He said, “Although we have enjoyed exceptional success in overseas markets, particularly in Africa, we appreciate the importance of increasing our brand awareness here in Singapore.”
Global Tap also announced that it is now the exclusive distributor of the Silverstone brand in Singapore, which joins Nexen, Gremax, Firemax and Roadstone in a comprehensive product portfolio.
