SWISS firm Trelleborg AB has announced its acquisition of US-based Maine Industrial Tire. As a result, the company will be integrated into Trelleborg Wheel Systems business area.
A press release on the agreement regarding the acquisition was published on December 21, 2012.
Maine Industrial Tire, a company specialising in solid tyres for vehicles such as forklifts operates twin-site manufacturing in the U.S. and China.
Trelleborg intends to establish a sales and distribution organisation in China where industrial forklift truck production already exceeds that of Europe and America combined.(RJA)
