Almost 97 percent of registered rubber farmers in Trang have already received their compensation payments, while the province is set to complete the whole payment to the rest of the farmers within January 2015.
The governor of Trang Somsak Parisuttho Hemtanont, and the Director Trang Branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) presided over the 1,000 baht per person compensation payment ceremony for rubber farmers in the 6 villages of the province.
Rubber farmers from the Na Bin La sub-district have received their compensation in this ceremony, which was witnessed by government officials in the local, district, and provincial levels.
29,806 rubber farmers in Trang province are eligible for the compensation payment, with a total of 276,077,500 baht. While the BAAC has been pushing to deliver the payments as fast as possible without fail.
