Toyo is the latest leading tyres manufacturer to join TyreSafe to help raise awareness about the possible dangers of illegal and defective tyres.
As one of the leading manufacturers of high performance tyres, Toyo’s membership is another boost for the UK’s leading tyre safety organisation.
TyreSafe already counts major tyres companies, including Bridgestone, Continental and Michelin
as members who support and back its nationwide campaigns and activities.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of TyreSafe, welcolmed Toyo tyres to the organisation. He commented: “Safety already plays a key part of Toyo offering with detailed care and safety advice for drivers on its website. Now that it’s joined TyreSafe, we will be able to work closely together and offer even more education to its customers, further spreading the tyre safety message.”
He continued: “Toyo Tires will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year so it’s fantastic to have another prominent and long standing member of the tyre industry on board.”
Sarah Clavey, marketing manager for the tyres manufacturer, added: “We’re delighted to be joining TyreSafe at such an exciting time. We hope we’ll be able to further enhance and promote our tyre safety message with their expertise and help our customers to understand the importance of proper tyre maintenance.”
Now in its eighth year of campaigning, TyreSafe’s Tyre Safety Month campaign in 2013 was its biggest and most successful to date with record levels of engagement and participation. Toyo will be supporting the 2014 campaign, which will focus on the tread depth of tyres.
