American multinational auto manufacturer Ford Motor Company made a list of things to be improved to its newest version of Shelby GT500. But, one thing that the company has not changed to this iconic car is the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar G:2 tyres.
The popular American auto tyre maker Goodyear Tyre & Rubber company recently announced that Ford will again be using their ultra-powerful tyres once again.
“With every Eagle high performance tire, Goodyear strives to stretch the boundaries of performance and innovation. So it’s a great feeling of validation when an expert like Ford chooses to equip its flagship high-performance model with Goodyear Eagles.” said Garth Ely, Goodyear’s director of brand marketing.
The Eagle F1 SuperCar G:2 is among Goodyear’s Eagle ultra-high performance line of tyres with an asymmetric and directional tread design with tread blocks on the outboard shoulder that enhances its dry grip while featuring the Aquachannel grooves on the inboard side which can enhance its wet grip.
The tyre also features multi-radius mold shape which can give precise and smooth handling.
It is a race-inspired tyre that is tested on some of the most known road courses in North America. It will appear on the 2013 Shelby GT 500. (RJA)
