Singapore to stage Tyrexpo Asia 2013

expo centreSINGAPORE is set to take centre stage for the largest gathering of tyre and equipment suppliers ever assembled for the Tyrexpo Asia 2013 to be held 19-21 March at the Singapore Expo Centre. The show will become a host to thousands of visitors from almost 100 countries around the world and more than 250 exhibitors.

The trading show brings together an unprecedented number, range and variety of tyre companies, along with dozens of international suppliers of retreading materials, technology and equipment, wheels, workshop machinery, tools, accessories and consumables.

Organisations from outside the traditional tyre industry exhibitor base, like the Middle East-located Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ), are also participating in the show to open new markets and expand their network.

“The UAE and the GCC are ideal markets – the automobile industry is growing from year to year. With the rising population, consumers, both local and expatriates help the market grow especially in the small passenger and luxury cars segment. Additionally, the UAE is geographically strategic, and has once again been hailed as the region’s main hub for re-export of auto parts for Middle East and African nations making it an ideal location to open a regional office, ” said Maryam Al Murshedi Al Shehhi, RAK FTZ’s Deputy Director General.

RAK FTZ personnel will be on hand to introduce the free zone’s cost effective packages, products and services to the expo exhibitors and visitors. “By sending our own delegation to Tyrexpo Asia, we are making it easy for the exhibitors, manufacturers and suppliers to get the information they need when they need. At RAK FTZ we will help them get their foot in the GCC market by helping them set up their regional office with ease, at the language they prefer and with less red tape as possible,” she added.

Dr Stephen Evans, head of the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) will deliver the opening address inclusive of updates on global rubber relating to the tyre and retreading sectors.

“With so much interest in the show and large numbers of visitors expected on all three days, we encourage delegates to pre-register via our website, to avoid queuing to get into the show,” advised Rowena Suthers of ECI International, adding that Singapore accommodation can be facilitated through their dedicated travel and bookings agency, Eastravel.

Pre-registration and other show information can be obtained from www.eci-international.com; Travel and accommodation enquiries should be sent to info@eastravel.co.uk.
