Russian oil and gas company, Tatneft has signed an agreement to produce crude rubber and road bitumen in Kazakhstan for the Butadiene Project and the Agreement of Intent on the Implementation of the Road Bitumen Production Project.
The signing took place at the beginning of the KamaTyresKZ tyre manufacturing factory construction in Saran.
The agreement on the basic terms of interaction on the butadiene project was signed by Nail Maganov, General Director of Tatneft, and Alik Aidarbayev, Chairman of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas.
Tatneft plans to implement the project for the production of butadiene rubbers in the Atyrau region together with NC KazMunayGas until 2025. The facility capacity will be 186,000 tonnes of butadiene rubbers and 170,000 tonnes of isobutane. The raw material for the factory will be butane produced by OOO Tengizchevroil. Finished products will be supplied to the KamaTyresKZ tyre manufacturing factoryin the Karaganda region, as well as for export to European countries, Russia, China, Turkey, and others.
The agreement also opens up the possibility of building a factory on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a production capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year of road bitumen.
