The Pyrolyx AG, a manufacturer of Recovered Carbon Black (RCB) from scrap tires, announces the grant of another patent.
The newly issued patent in Germany allows the direct introduction of RCB in the conventional furnace carbon black production, the Pyrolyx-RCB is supplied during the production in a desired percentage.
The resulting homogeneous mixture can – as previous tests have shown – be used directly for the production of new tires.
Using the patented process of the Munich-based company up to 50% fossil fuels (feedstock oil) can be saved in the conventional production of carbon black. In addition, by the energy cost of a finishing process of RCB be significantly reduced and increased process efficiency.
This method may medium to long term increase the already successful use of Recovered Carbon Black in the tire and rubber industry significantly.
