Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli will be putting a EUR105 million worth of investment in Slatina Romania by 2017 to boost its production capacity.
According to the company, the investment, which is expected to create 500 new jobs, will increase its production capacity to about 13 million units per year as well as expand the plant to around 200,000 square metres.
Currently, Pirelli has a production capacity of 8.5 million per year
Furthermore, the company says that it will be employing 3,500 people in the next five years.
