Japanese tyre company Panaracer was showing off some additions to its road range at the Taipei Cycle Show last week. For the first time, Panaracer has a gravel-specific tyre, plus larger diameter road tubulars and a lightweight 25c Race tyre.
The new Panaracer Gravel King uses Panaracer’s supple ZSG dual compound rubber. The company has also built in an Anti-Flat casing for the rigours of rough road riding. The Gravel King is available in a 28c size with a claimed weight of 270g – not bad if the tyre offers the puncture protection they claim.
The Race type C Evo2 tubular now comes in a pavé friendly 26mm diameter. The outer uses the ZSG dual compound rubber with puncture protection and, inside of the tubular, it is now using the super light R’Air tubes.

The Race type A Evo2 now comes in a 25c size. The 23c version tips the scales at around 210g, so it’s good to see a lightweight 25 option to match – the larger size weighs a claimed 240g.
