Nippon Zeon Co. Ltd, a company under Japanese materials supplier Zeon Corp., has raised selling prices for its brand of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber, Nipol NBR, in an effort to maintain stable supply of products and improve quality for customers.
According to an August statement, the Nipol-branded NBR price was upped by US$110-250/metric tonne for 2020 delivery. Nipol elastomers are a synthetic rubber that offers a good balance of performance and cost-effectiveness for applications needing fluid resistance, moderate heat resistance and durability.
Nippon Zeon also revealed it had made efforts to absorb costs of repair and maintenance for its products during the past few years, but could no longer cover them “due to the current severe economic environment.”
