Nexen tyres is gaining momentum in its drive to increase its global Original Equipment (OE) supply and brand awareness in Europe.
It has gainied major steps forward in its OE programme, gaining approval from the VW Group, fitting the bestselling Polo with the N’blue HD, its eco-friendly, performance tyres. This is the tyre manufacturers first European OE contract following several years of supplies to Korean vehicle manufacturers Kia, Hyundai and Ssangyong.
Nexen tyres has also commenced shipments of its rolling resistance optimised N’Blue HD in size 205/55R16 91V tyres for fitment to the Skoda Octavia.
The N’Blue HD is an eco-friendly performance tyre is enjoying increased popularity, including in the European markets, due to its superior performance in raising fuel efficiency. Reasonably priced, it has has excellent ratings for both wet grip and fuel economy according to the EU tyre labelling system.
Leading car magazine Auto Express awarded the N’blue HD the highest grade for its steering stability on wet roads and hydroplaning performance, placing it third among the top eight global brand products last year.
Nexen is confident that the OE contracts will improve its brand awareness and enable it to secure a wider customer base in the European market.

We will continue to invest in R&D to expand our production capability and improve our brand value, raising our position in the global market.”
