The all-new, redesigned 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata is getting all-new tyres from Bridgestone. The tyre company announced that
Bridgestone’s Potenza S001 will be the original equipment (OE) for the Miata’s Club and Grand Touring models.
Bridgestone says that the S001 is specially-designed for sports cars like the Miata because of its control, responsiveness, and improved handling; helping drivers take precise, sharp turns
“Bridgestone has a long history of working with Mazda to develop premium tyre solutions for its sports cars,” said Mike Martini, president, original equipment, U.S. and Canada Consumer Tire Sales Divisions, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “The fourth generation of the Mazda MX-5 is a perfect platform to showcase the innovation and performance of the Bridgestone Potenza S001 tire.”
The Potenza S001 tyre is available as OE on the 2016 Mazda MX- 5 Club and Grand Touring models in tire size 205/45R17. Mazda’s flagship sports car, the 2016 Mazda MX-5 is already available in Mazda showrooms.
