Tyre manufacturer Maxxis Tyres India has introduced a new, exclusive range of electric two-wheeler tyres, Maxxis M922F that works with existing 12-inch-tyre electric two-wheeler models. The M922F tyres are expected to enhance the operational range of an electric vehicle and reduce overall energy consumption by 5-10%.
Design specifics for the lightweight, tubeless tyres include circumferential and lateral grooves that work together to ensure excellent grip and a smooth ride on both wet roads and well-paved terrain. The tyres also last longer and tread wear minimised, thanks to its larger contact patch.
Commenting on the launch of the Maxxis M922F, Bing-Lin Wu, Marketing Head, Maxxis India, said the company hopes to pioneer alternate fuel vehicle technology: “This is our first step towards contributing to the Government of India’s Clean India Mission. We are extremely glad to have launched these unique tyres specially crafted for the electric two-wheelers in the Indian market. The electric two-wheeler industry is on a growth trajectory and will witness exponential growth in the next few years.”
As the sub-company of Maxxis Group, Maxxis India (Maxxis Rubber India Pvt. Ltd.) started business with a manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat; it has a capacity to produce around 20,000 tyres and 40,000 tubes per day.
