Liberty Tire, a Pittsburgh-headquartered tyre recycling service provider opened a new manufacturing facility in Sanford to produce rubberized mulch, a sustainable and resilient alternative to traditional mulch made from recycled scrap tyres
By recycling more than 190 million tyres annually, Liberty Tire reclaims approximately 3 billion pounds of rubber each year. The recycled rubber is used as crumb rubber and industrial feedstock for moulded products; as tyre-derived fuel for industrial kilns, mills and power plants; and as landscaping and playground products sold at more than 15,000 retail locations across North America, the company maintains a network of processing plants and comprehensive door-to-door collection services across North America.
Liberty recently appointed Amy Brackin as Vice President of Sustainability to develop and implement a comprehensive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, in line with its commitment to sustainability.
