China-based rubber hose maker Letone Hydraulic (Letone) has started construction on the first phase of its US$236.5 million Smart Hydro Industrial Park, a new plant for rubber hose and related products in Henan Province. Upon full operation in 2024, the plant will raise the company’s total annual capacity to 120 million metres of rubber hoses, which includes the manufacture of 20 million metres of industrial hoses, aside from creating some 1,100 new jobs and bringing in US$358 million in revenue annually.
Letone currently has an annual capacity to produce 30 million metres of hydraulic rubber hoses, 10 million units of hose joints and 20 million units of sealing/related products in addition to a mixing capacity of 15k tonnes/year of rubber.
With the new plant, Letone will reportedly have increased capacity to manufacture 100 million units of sealing/related products, 50 million units of hose joints and a total mixing capacity of 35k tonnes/year of rubber.
