Swedish technology firm Lagercrantz has acquired DP Seals Ltd, a leading supplier of rubber sealings and mouldings for high specification applications.
DP Seals designs and manufactures customised rubber seals, gaskets and mouldings, with intricate geometries to the highest quality. In-house tooling design and manufacturing enables the company to produce parts meeting the requirements of the most demanding industrial equipment manufacturers. Applications such as aerospace programs, subsea energy connections and Formula 1 racing cars typically require the use of rubber compounds that can withstand extreme pressures, temperatures and aggressive gases.
DP Seals is based in Poole in the UK and has a turnover of around GBP5 million.
“DP Seals is a market leader renowned for its ability to design and manufacture high quality specialised rubber seals and mouldings. We see major opportunities to develop the business, in close cooperation with the management team, by building on the company’s vast experience and technical capabilities.” says Russell Stuart, CEO of Lagercrantz UK.
“It is exciting to bring DP Seals to the next level alongside a stable main owner who takes a long-term view and brings extensive industrial and international experience. I look forward to working with Lagercrantz, in partnership with our own highly skilled team, to take advantage of the growth opportunities for the company’s products in the market,” says Andrew Piper, Managing Director and owner of DP Seals.
DP Seals will be part of Lagercrantz’ International Division as of December 2023. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive effect on the Group’s earnings per share.
