IN lieu of the tyre labelling rules introduced across Europe, China’s largest tyre maker Hangzhong Zhonge has joined the Imported Tyre Manufacturers Association (ITMA), weeks after the above policy was pitched. ITMA president Alfred Graham said that while the European market remains attractive to non-EU based tyre makers, new rules governing product labelling are strictly enforced here. To ensure a smooth ride in a policy-guarded market, Graham says firms should work closely with ITMA and its other members.(PRA)
