Giti Tire USA has released a new ultra high performance tyre under its GT Radial brand – the GT Radial Champiro UHP AS.GT Radial Champiro UHP AS
“Owners of high-performance vehicles want to enjoy driving their sophisticated machines with confidence year round, and this new member of the Champiro family allows them to do just that,” said Armand Allaire, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Giti Tire.
The Champiro UHP AS features a new compound and tread design, Giti said.
The tread compound is designed to enhance grip in wet, high and low temperatures, and light snow conditions, as well as reduce rolling resistance, the tyremaker said.
The tread design has four wide circumferential grooves to reduce hydroplaning, along with multi-depth sipes for enhanced wet grip and all season performance, Giti said. V-shape directional grooves and sipes contribute to water evacuation, and larger shoulder blocks provide increased rigidity for precise handling, the tyremaker noted.
Backed by a 45,000-mile tread wear warranty, the Champiro UHP will be available in 38 V, W, and Y speed-rated sizes for 15- to 20-inch size rims.
The product launch will be supplemented with media advertising, co-op advertising, and POS kits for showroom display, Giti said.
