Bridgestone Americas is releasing a limited edition Firestone Destination A/T: The University of Alabama tyre (Alabama Tire) exclusively designed for passionate fans of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide sports teams.
“Tailgating is the ultimate game day experience for college football fans,” Anna Philip, Firestone brand manager, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “We designed the Alabama Tire so fans can literally Roll Tide, all year round, on a tyre that delivers the dependability and durability expected from Firestone.”
Designed using feedback from Alabama sports fans, the limited edition Alabama Tire from Firestone features the name of the school molded into the tyre in raised, white lettering.
It is an all-terrain tyre built to travel and adapt to wet or dry weather with a long-link carbon, reinforced sidewall design to resist cracking, chipping and tearing. The Alabama Tire also offers the same dependable handling and braking, and off-road toughness that the Firestone Destination A/T tyre is known for among truck, SUV and all-terrain vehicle drivers today.
This is the first Firestone sidewall design targeted to sports fans and echoes the brand’s rich history of using sports to connect with daily drivers. The announcement of the Alabama Tire reflects the next chapter in the brand’s more than 100 years of sporting heritage.
Firestone tyres were on the car that won the inaugural Indianapolis 500 Mile Race (Indy 500) in 1911, and earlier this year, Firestone earned its 67thIndy 500 victory – more Indy 500 wins than all other tyre manufacturers combined.
The Alabama Tire is the latest Firestone product offering from Bridgestone.
